change lives?

One "RAFFLE" ticket at a time until we have enough donations to help others struggling with Neurodivergent disorders.

Welcome to Making a Mark

A unique concept of fundraising!

Neurodivergence encompasses the natural variation in how people's brains work, with neurodivergent individuals functioning differently from the average person. A sculptor, author, and Rotarian, Mark Stoddart advocates for Neurodiversity, using a unique fundraising tool, "the Raffle," a raffle featuring a bespoke hippo glass coffee table to raise awareness and funds.

Proceeds support three distinct areas:

  • Rare Gem Talent Dyslexia School Kitengela, Kenya

  • the Rotary Foundation

  • Mental Health Organizations in Scotland

Mark, on his own, started to donate funds to the Rare Gem School in Kenya to help other students struggling with a fate at school that he knows only too well. When he started this, he never dreamed it would take off like it did. The school thrives, and it boards many students from elementary school until the end of high school.

Without your help, this school and the students waiting to be educated cannot continue to thrive. The grades are put together in one classroom as space is minimal. Mark put everything in place to build an edition to the school to house more students but to do this he realized that this had to be a Rotary Project and effort as one man alone cannot do this by himself.

Strength is in Numbers
Together We Can!

01

The First Step:

Mark Stoddart saw the need born out of his struggles with dyslexia. He took his adversity and turned it into positivity for others.

Mark had the strength to continue alone, but he realized that he needed others to help the growing need for students with neurodiversity both in Kenya and the rest of the world.

The power of sharing stories.

02

The Second Step:

We will get the students, teachers, and parents to share their stories with you!

The power of their stories will make you realize that what you thought was easy is an insurmountable task for someone whose brain is just wired differently.

Mark wanted to give the donors an opportunity to own one of his unique sculptures.

03

The Third Step:

The team created "the Raffle", do not let the "word" fool you... it is a real fundraiser with the twist that anyone who buys a ticket can win either:

- cash prizes

- the Hippo coffee table

One ticket might get a student to attend school in Kenya or go to our Rotary Foundation to help the Action Group of Neurodiversity, etc.
